Sahasrara, also known as the crown or crown chakra, is the highest chakra in the human energy system. It is located on the top of the head and is responsible for the spiritual connection of a person with the Cosmos, the Divine principle and the universal information field.
Sahasrara is associated with higher consciousness, enlightenment and spiritual awakening. It is also associated with the color purple and is symbolized by a thousand-petalled lotus.
